Gudari is a Notified Area Council city in district of Rayagada, Orissa. The Gudari city is divided into 11 wards for which elections are held every 5 years. The Gudari Notified Area Council has population of 6,931 of which 3,479 are males while 3,452 are females as per report released by Census India 2011.

Population of Children with age of 0-6 is 835 which is 12.05 % of total population of Gudari (NAC). In Gudari NAC, Female Sex Ratio is of 992 against state average of 979. Moreover Child Sex Ratio in Gudari is around 960 compared to Orissa state average of 941. Literacy rate of Gudari city is 81.18 % higher than state average of 72.87 %. In Gudari, Male literacy is around 89.26 % while female literacy rate is 73.09 %.

Gudari Notified Area Committee has total administration over 1,696 houses to which it supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage. It is also authorize to build roads within NAC limits and impose taxes on properties coming under its jurisdiction.

 

1.   Introduction :-

This Notified Area Council was constituted with the following villages and started its functioning with effect from 12.04.1972 as per notification No. 5993 dated 23.02.1971 of erstwhile Urban Development Deptt. Odisha.

 a)  Gudari         b)  Karnaguda        c)  Bhikariguda

The geographical area of this NAC is 06.47 Sq. Kms. and the total population is 6931 as per 2011 census out of which 3479 are male  and  3452 are female.
